Carpathian Emergency  Response Fund for Ukrainians

At the ZOOM project meeting of the Carpathian Emergency Response Fund for Ukrainians – Supporting the Integration of Roma Refugees in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg and Hajdú-Bihar Counties - sub-programme in mid-November, the staff of our Foundation, the National Association of Roma Women of the 21st Century and the Somnakuno Drom Roma Women's NGO shared their experiences with each other. They were joined by Katalin Galyasné Dósa, head of the Szihalom-based Baby Bear Baby Mother Public Benefit Association, who discussed the problems, challenges and solutions to refugee issues.

Playing for Change project in three locations

Within the framework of our Playing for Change project, several programmes were implemented in Szomolya, Bükkszentmárton and Hevesaranyos. In the different programmes, children learned about the importance of the canvas bag, the mysteries of candle making and Advent wreath making, the land of scents, and even overcame their own fears through the power of fairy tales.

We wish good luck to our partners, the Hungarian Roma Association of Szomolya, the Laskó Spring Association and the Association of Village builders of Bükkszentmárton for the further realization!

We handed over our fourth ambulance

The three of us left with the ambulance and an escort car on Friday afternoon to a village called Palanca at the Moldovan-Ukrainian border, which is about 1000 km from Eger.

We spent the night in Oradea due to a flat tire, which was repaired next morning.  After that we drove through the beautiful landscapes of Transylvania, crossing through the Békás Strait to find accommodation in Târgu Frumos.
